A puppy, and we kept that souvenir for 13 years.

Many years ago I made a trip to China, where I tasted bird’s nest soup, which is made from the hardened saliva of swift birds. I didn’t know what it was then, but it was delicious!

I brought home a freeze-dried scorpion for my son, he thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen!

My traveling superpower is adaptability. Whether it’s navigating a new culture, adjusting plans when the unexpected comes up, or making the most of detours that arise along the way. Some of my best travel experiences have been because of it.
Leadership compass?
Integrity is my leadership compass. I prioritize transparency even when it is difficult and seek to do the right thing, even when it is hard. This builds lasting relationships and fosters trust.
Destination on your wish list?
Okinawa (Japan) is on my bucket list of things to do before I die, as it is one of the most stunning Blue Zone islands in the world, where wellness and connection are top priority.
The most interesting thing you’ve eaten while traveling?
Alligator pizza in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Three items for a one-month trip?
A beach towel, a Swiss Army knife and a cast iron skillet to cook it all.

I pack like a tetris champion.

A 90 cm plush mascot named Quatchi, from the 2010 Winter Olympics.
